Split Smart 3.1

Split Smart is a data-driven platform that aims to help competitive swimmers improve their race strategies by teaching them how to split their races more effectively. It offers three main functions:

• Finding splits based on a desired goal time
• Finding the goal time and appropriate splits based on a personal best time from a relevant race (e.g., entering a 100m PB time to calculate the final time and splits for a 200m race)
• Calculating how your favorite elite athlete would split an inputted final time

The accuracy of Split Smart is backed by extensive research. Over 500 races were analyzed, including those from the 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2012 London Olympics, 2016 Rio Olympics, 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials, and the 2014-2017 NCAA Championships. The top 24 times in Europe for both short course and long course meters were also taken into account. Mathematical equations derived from this data were programmed into Split Smart, ensuring accuracy in every result it generates.

Split Smart is particularly useful for swimmers who struggle with understanding the ideal way to split their races. It provides fast and precise answers to questions like:

• "What should my splits be if I want to swim a certain time in a 200 Yard Freestyle?"
• "Did I split my race correctly?"
• "If my 100m time is X, what should be my target time for a 200m race and how should I split it?"
• "How would my favorite swimmer split my 200m time?"

What sets Split Smart apart is its commitment to continuous improvement. After each major meet, the platform's split calculation function is revised to incorporate the latest trends and best practices. It also keeps track of emerging champions, allowing users to compare their own splits with those of the best swimmers in the world.
